NYB Grew Out Of A Simple Idea To Put Together Monthly Business Networking Events That Could Bring MORE Value To MORE People.

The light bulb went off! We decided to do “mini business expos” that would be a 3 part formula:

  1. Business Networking
  2. Education
  3. A Monthly Exclusive Mini Business Expo

We started in Potomac Maryland at Normandy Farm with an educational speaker, no tables and 160 people showed up! We knew we were on to something. From that time, we focused all of our time, energies and money on building these events with more “substance” than other companies were providing.

Our experience at some of the other networking events was:

  • Not being able to hear people talk because it was too loud.
  • More Social than business and a lot of drinking.
  • It seemed more like a job fair than a business networking event.
  • Not cost effective and low return on investment of time.

So our “After Hours” events were born! We started NYBE in 2011 with 4 events and now in 2013 average 5 monthly business networking events in Maryland.
